The MSC certification Schemes history, development and challenges
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is an international non-profit organisation. MSC recognises and rewards certified fisheries on voyage to protect oceans and safeguard seafood supplies for the future. The vision of MSC is to ensure that future generations can enjoy seafood and oceans full of life, forever.
At the seminar Gisli Gislason, Program Director at MSC, will give us an update on “The MSC certification Schemes history, development and challenges”. Mr. Gislason is born and raised in Iceland, but graduated with Cand.Scient in Aquaculture & Marine biochemistry from the University of Tromsö. He has worked in seafood, research, quality and sales & marketing, before joining MSC in 2008.
